Zach Anderson

Owner and Certified Elder Law Attorney

Estate planning used to be about planning for death, dividing your assets (usually to your spouse or children, equally), and filling out some basic forms.

But we’re all living longer than we ever have. Long-term care costs have never been higher. We have more blended families now than ever before. And there are more opportunities to plan for children and adults with special needs than ever before.

Traditional estate planning doesn’t stack up anymore. After spending too much time complaining about it, Zach decided to do better for clients, and he founded Valley Estate & Elder Law in 2023.

Zach is one of 5 Certified Elder Law Attorneys in the state of Alabama, having passed the National Elder Law Foundation’s rigorous certification exam in 2024.

Zach is a summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, a cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, and a proud graduate of Huntsville High school. He and his wife, Shelby, live in Jones Valley near his childhood home.

Clay Sanders

Paralegal

Clay Sanders is a paralegal at Valley Estate & Elder Law. Clay helps clients by giving them a great first impression of the firm on the phone, drafting estate planning documents, funding our clients’ trusts, and managing estate administration cases.

Clay is a graduate of Faulkner University and of Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He will be taking the upcoming Alabama Bar Exam. Clay’s hometown is Fort Walton Beach, Florida but has deep family ties to here in Huntsville. He has chosen to plant roots here in the valley where his family is from.
