Life Care Planning

Life Care Planning

Life Care Planning is the way that our firm practices elder law. Life care planning combines legal planning, asset protection, and health care planning and advocacy in response to the unique challenges of aging.

Specifically, life care planning aims to achieve the following goals:

Another way that life care planning is different is that it allows our team to represent our clients over time, rather than work with them one a one-time basis (for example, by preparing a will or power of attorney for them). A senior’s condition – and their life – can, and almost certainly will, change.

Life care planning responds to this by offering a team of professionals to walk side-by-side with our clients and their families through the aging process.

The goals of getting good health care, determining where to live, and not running out of money are all inseparably intertwined when a person gets older. Life care planning is the answer.

Life care planning provides a team that is led by (but not defined by) the attorney. Our team at Valley Estate & Elder Law includes a Certified Elder Law Attorney, Zach Anderson, and and Elder Care Coordinator Sara Keyser. To learn more about our team members, visit our page here.
